This device was installed on this computer in December, 2011 and was active until I removed the device in February to move to a different city. I then got wired internet service. In June of this year, I reloaded my Windows 7 O/S. I 'm now wishing to re-install the device on this computer.

I can download the correct driver, the device manager says what driver I am using and that it is working properly. What I am having a problem with is the Utility Program for the device. It loads, but will not function at all. It is stuck in the Advanced mode and I need to get into the System mode to set up the wireless network.

This Utility worked in December,but will not work now. I have had this problem whether I use the disc included with the device or if I download the Utility from the manufacturer. The only thing I can think of is that a Windows update is causing the problem, but I would have no way of knowing what update is causing the problem.

If I knew, I could remove it. At this point, I could re-install Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and turn off updates.

Then add each one individually and see if this interferes with the Utility. That is a hastle I would rather avoid. Does anyone have a solution for this mess?
